The Student Service Center is your front-line service center for the Office of the Registrar, including support for admissions, fees, financial assistance, student life support, exams, class schedules, applying for a visa and more. Please contact us via Email:

Academic Information

  • Exam Schedule. Check the outline of each course or with your instructors to confirm the schedule, the location and exam format.


  • Academic Calendar. Significant event dates are listed in the calendar for your reference. The college may change the events or dates as required, please refresh the page to see the latest version.


  • Enrolment Support. Students can select some courses in upcoming academic terms if you are eligible. 

                 o    By default, the college plans the enrollment of mandatory courses for students during the enrollment dates, which are released just when the term begins.

                 o    If you plan to change your schedule, please contact the    Student Service Center during the enrollment dates.


  • Graduation and Convocation. The Student Service Center sends emails to students with information about graduation and convocation when their graduation requirements are met.

                 o    When each term is being completed, each faculty should submit the potential list of students to graduate, the Student Service Center will check whether the students meet the graduation requirements, and ensure they are eligible to graduate and all documents are approved for the graduation, including transcripts, GAP calculation, parchments.

                 o    Convocation is a time to recognize students’ achievements and celebrate it with families and friends. The ceremonies will be held in the fall each year. Every graduate in the past year is welcome to register and attend the ceremony.


Housing and Residence

  • Key Information for Residents 

Students can learn more about BC tenancy agreement, rental listings, security deposit, property damage, sublet, lease renewal, fire safety, etc.

  • Accommodation assistance

There are two accommodations you can choose: Off-Campus housing and Homestay housing. The WBCPC does not own the two programs but assists students to find appropriate accommodations. Students could check the rental listings and contact the Student Service Center about budget, landlords, leasing, and so on.

International Student Support

If you are an international student, the Student Service Center is here to help you and support you during your study, before you arrive, while you stay and after you graduate.


  • Immigration Documents & Forms As an international student, it is your responsibility to understand the regulations, conditions, and maintain your valid status while you are in Canada, including study permit, travel authorization documents, temporary resident visas, working permits and permanent residence, and so on.


  • Get Involved The Student Service Center connects you to the WBCPC campus community so that you could adjust yourself to the Canadian environment and culture quickly. Explore opportunities to get involved in the community to foster a sense of belonging and earn a global experience. There are various programs for you to join: orientation, peer mentoring, community engagement, fitness and recreation, language partner volunteer, and student clubs.


  • Financial Matters Pursuing study is also a financial investment. Tuitions and fees are carefully calculated by programs at WBCPC. While you are the person who manages your money, you are encouraged to research and contact the Student Service Center to apply for our financial support programs, such as scholarships and awards, emergency student loan, and financial aid, especially when you are experiencing financial difficulties.


  • Health Care Insurance Health insurance allows you to access medical services at clinics and hospitals in Canada with most expenses covered by the insurance so that you can focus on your studies. 


It is mandatory for international students studying at WBCPC for at least six months to pay a health fee to contribute to and benefit from B.C.’s health-care coverage (provincial coverage). Please update with your health-care insurance information in the Student Service Center after you are enrolled. 


  • $75 per month
  • Apply for B.C.’s health-care coverage as soon as you arrive in British Columbia. It takes effect in 3 months after submitting the application. 
  • You should carry private insurance until the wait period ends and provincial coverage begins.
  • The “B.C. Services Card” provides eligible B.C. residents with access to provincial health care coverage. The Personal Health Number (PHN) will be printed on card. Please refer https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/health/accessing-health-care/health-fee-international-students for details of the coverage, including eligibility, how to enroll and how to pay. Basic steps to apply for your B.C. Services Card are as below:

  • For multilingual support, contact or visit a Service BC Contact Centre.


You can contact external insurance brokers to apply for additional health-care coverage for your spouse and dependents.

Working in Canada

International students may consider working in Canada while studying to earn more working experience for careers in future or support the studying additionally. Please be advised that you must follow the IRCC regulations and that the money you earn in this way cannot fully support your expenses. If you intend to do so, please check the eligibility of work off-campus and must apply for a Social Insurance Number (SIN) ahead.

Global Citizenship and Intercultural Learning

Intercultural Learning program provides students with opportunities to learn communication skills across different cultures and build up relationships with people from different cultural backgrounds. Both international and domestic students are encouraged to learn intercultural awareness, diverse perspectives, and become intercultural leaders in the Canadian multicultural environment.

Learning support

  • Writing Support Academic writing is probably required when students study at WBCPC for essays. There will be workshops or academic sessions offered for new students to learn such skills. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach the Student Service Center for assistance. You can also join writing groups to get help from peers or mentors.
  • Math Support Math skills are required in some programs, and please contact us if you need off-class assistance to develop your maths skills. Other options you may have are; Math Workshop and Math Study Group.
  • English Language Support If you are an international student whose first language is not English and would like to improve your English language skills, you are welcome to attend our language classes for your success. The English language group and English language partner program are also popular in the community to improve listening, reading, writing and speaking skills.
  • Workshops & Events Workshops and community events are effective methods to deliver interactive discussions or sharing on various topics for students in their campus lives, including Academic Writing, Math, English Language skills, newcomers, career development and so on.
  • Study Skills, Workshops, and Transition Support To help you advance your study skills and discover your talents, we offer workshops on learning skills, researching, improving study habits, making personalized study plans and managing time.

Mentoring

  • Career Mentoring We offer multiple programs at the Career Development Centre to assist students in developing careers and preparing for the transition from students on campus to the workforce in the labor market.
  • Peer to Peer Mentoring Mentoring programs are provided to guide new students in order to help them handle academic or personal challenges, explore campus life and and build up connections through direct communications.
